As women living in our contemporary world, we are faced with the pressure to emulate patterns of success, independence and assertiveness, so that we would fit the mold of "the self-made woman". What if, in our complicated, unpredictable and often mundane individual stories there are details, unwrapped gifts and specific callings that God intends to use in His Master Plan, provided that we take hold of our own lives and do not forfeit our individual purposes?
We are going to take a look at the amazing story of Abigail in 1 Samuel 25:2-41 and see how a woman that is described as “beautiful and intelligent” chooses to honor God by covering her reckless husband’s mistake and by being present and resourceful, at a crucial moment.
